Shidler College of Business 60th Anniversary

Celebrating 60 years of international excellence

Beginning this fall, the Shidler College of Business at the University of Hawai‘i will launch its 60th anniversary celebration. The year-long celebration will allow the College to showcase its role in developing Hawai‘i’s business leaders, delivering quality business education and contributing to Hawai‘i’s economic growth through its research, programs and people.

For six decades, Hawai‘i’s premier business college has continued to receive national recognition in international business and executive education. Since 1967, the College has been accredited by AACSB-International — the premier accreditation body for business and accounting institutions. Today, Shidler’s MBA program is the only AACSB accredited program in the state of Hawai‘i.

On October 15, 2009, the Shidler College of Business Hall of Honor Awards Dinner will kick off the Shidler60 Anniversary Celebration. The event includes reunion receptions celebrating six decades, and will feature a special 60th anniversary video, honor the entering classes of 1949 (class of ’52 and ’53) and induct four alumni into the College’s Hall of Honor.
